Declared 10 years ago in wanted list of Russian official detained in Yerevan

In Yerevan, law enforcement officers detained the former chapter of the Tutaevsky district of the Yaroslavl Region Jan Andreeva, who was accused of obtaining a major bribe. Earlier, he was announced to international wanted list, TASS reported with reference to a law enforcement source.

“Andreev is detained in Yerevan. While the decision on extradition is not accepted,” the source noted.

According to him, the general prosecutor’s office of Russia is engaged in the extradition of the detainee. It is not specified when a decision will be accessed.

In 2009, in relation to Andreeva, it was opened about obtaining a bribe of about 500 thousand rubles. As investigators believe, for this money, Andreev provided an entrepreneur a land plot near the village of Antifievo in the Tutaevsky district. The ex-official funds received in 2008 spent on vacation. He also illegally received surcharges for working with information that was a state secret.

In December 2011, Jan Andreev left Russia, after which he was announced to the federal wanted list.
