Decree Elchina Guliyev: Firdsi Wammeds and Haji Aliyev increased in rank

Head of the Sports Department of the Sports Olympic Center “SERCHEDCH”, Honored Coach of Azerbaijan Firdsi Wammeds and 3-fold World Champion and Europe for freestyle wrestling increased in the rank.

By decree of the head of the State Border Service, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev Firdovsi Wamov received the title of Colonel, and Haji Aliyev – Captain.

The ceremony of the presentation took place today at a meeting with SERCHEDCH’s athletes who have achieved great success in the international arena. Speaking on behalf of the athletes, Firdovsi umudov thanked for the care and support of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the first vice-president of Mehriban Aliyev and the leadership of the State Program. He noted that the athletes will do everything in order to justify the confidence provided by him with new victories and successes.

Firdovsi Wammeds, now being President of the Serchnedci club, from 2005 to 2018 he held various coaching positions in Azerbaijani national wrestling nationals. It was under his closer supervision in the national teams of Azerbaijan, such wrestlers were broken as Haji Aliyev, Togrul Askerov, Jabrail Hasanov and others.

From 2016 to 2018, F. Umudov was the head coach of the main team of Azerbaijan.
