Delegation From Italian Ministry Of Defense Visited Baykar Enterprises

A delegation from the Italian Ministry of Defense visited Baykar’s facilities in Tekirdağ and Istanbul to get acquainted with the developed technologies on site.

According to the company, the Italian Ministry of Defense delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Defense of Italy Matteo Perego di Cremnago.

The delegation includes the Commander of the Italian Air Force Lieutenant General Antonio Conserva, Commander of the Italian Land Forces Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello, Deputy Commander of the Italian Navy Rear Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, Co-Chairman for Strategy and Innovation of the Italian defense giant Leonardo Simone Ungaro and Co-Chairman for Development business Carlo Gualdaroni, commanders of various units of the Italian air force, land and navy.

During the visit The Italian delegation was met by the chairman of the board of directors of Baykar, Selcuk Bayraktar, and the general director of Baykar, Haluk Bayraktar, as well as the head of the Defense Industry Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, Haluk Gergün.

Was carried out a flight and shooting demonstration, as well as a detailed briefing

The delegation’s first stop was the AKINCI Training and Testing Center, located in the Çorlu district of Tekirdag. Here, a special demonstration flight was organized for the guests.

As part of the show, flights of unmanned combat aircraft Bayraktar TB3 SİHA, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA and Bayraktar KIZILELMA were demonstrated. During the Bayraktar TB3 display, SİHA also successfully demonstrated firing with MAM-L ammunition produced by Roketsan.

After meetings in Çorlu, the Italian delegation went to the Baykar head office in Istanbul, the Ozdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center. Here Selçuk Bayraktar, Haluk Bayraktar and Baykar project managers gave the delegation a detailed briefing on current projects and the technological concept for the future.

After presentations and negotiations, the Italian delegation left Istanbul.
