Delegation Of US Treasury Arrived In Turkey To Meet With Representatives Of Turkey, Iraq And Syria

The delegation of the US Department of Finance, led by Anna Morris, acting as deputy assistant minister to counteract the financing of terrorism, plans to meet with representatives of governments and financial institutions of Turkey, Iraq and Syria in Ankara and Istanbul.

The US Consulate General in Istanbul reported that the American delegation led by Morris arrived in Turkey on July 20.

The delegation will draw attention to the decision of the US President Donald Trump to remove sanctions from Syria and intends to encourage the observance of the Trump administration by the maximum pressure on Iran.

The diplomatic mission noted the readiness of the US Department of Finance to provide a new Syrian administration in strengthening the capabilities of the financial sector to combat money laundering and financing of terrorism.
