Democracy in Armenia cost United States in $ 68.5 million

Washington will provide Yerevan Grant in the amount of $ 120 million. The Armenian government at a meeting on Thursday approved the US Agreement on Cooperation for Development.

From the American side, the document will be signed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The purpose of the agreement is to assist Armenia in the implementation of reform programs aimed at strengthening democracy and economic stability.

USAID plans to distribute its contribution as follows: 68 million 565 thousand dollars will be aimed at promoting democracy, and 51 million 435 thousand dollars – to increase economic security.
