Bundestag deputy from the Social Democratic Party of Germany Barbara Hendrix called the conditions that are necessary for a successful post-war settlement in Karabakh, emphasizing the inviolability of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, reports the Bulletin of the Caucasus.
“wounds are deep, and for reconciliation can be hoped only if all interested parties will look into the future, and territorial integrity on the basis of international law will no longer be questioned by any of the parties,” the German politician said.
Recall, on April 20, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, speaking at the spring session of PACE, stated that the undermining of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state contradicts European values, leading to Nagorno-Karabakh. “When there are no respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, as in the case of Nagorno-Karabakh, the norms of international law should be applied,” the German Chancellor said.
