Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia discussed development of transport cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shakhin Mustafaev and First Deputy Government of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov discussed issues of the development of trade and economic cooperation and implementation of the development project of the North-South MTK.

The meeting of Mustafaev and Belousov took place on the fields of the XIV International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World” in Kazan.

“The meeting also emphasized the need to synchronize the measures to eliminate narrow places on the railway infrastructure, roads, including the bypasses of Makhachkala, Derbent, Khasavyurt, at the checkpoints and in terms of transport and logistics centers,” the Russian government.

In addition, Mustafaev and Belousov discussed the creation of a single operator of the railway infrastructure of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran.
