On the night of November 19, in Mingachevir in the village of Yeni Hayat, where forced displaced persons live, a high school student was shot dead. According to preliminary information, a resident of the village of Gylabli Agdam district Alvan Gasimov fired in Orhan Kerimov, year 2006. The wounded died on the way to the hospital, and the shooter was detained by law enforcement agencies as a suspect.

According to the Chief Inspector of the Shekinsky Regional Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Senior Lieutenant Police Mahir Masimov, a resident of the Agdam district Alvan Gasimov killed a resident of Khojaly Orhan Kerimov, firing from the Makarov pistol. During the search, 6 combat cartridges were detected at the detainee. It turned out that Gasimov was previously convicted three times on various articles.
Note that A. Gasimov and O. Kerimov were neighbors. According to the investigation, Gasimov released 5 bullets to his victim, and the victim died on the road to the hospital.
At night, in a number of media, information was distributed about that A. Gasimov allegedly is an employee of the Azerigaz Production Association, but this information did not find confirmation.
Speaking about the causes of the armed incident, in the Mingachevir city prosecutor’s office stated that during the investigation, reasonable suspicions were identified in the fact that Alvan Gasimov had committed a murder intentionally at the soil of revenge.
In the Mingachevir City Prosecutor’s Office, a criminal case was initiated under articles 120.1 (intentional murder) and 228.1 (illegal acquisition, transmission, sale, storage, transportation and wearing of firearms, its component parts, ammunition, explosives and devices) of the Criminal Code.
