DJ from Kazakhstan won a Grammy award

Twenty-year-old DJ from Kazakhstan Imanbek Zeykenov, known under the pseudonym Imanbek, won a Grammy award. The organizers announced this on their Twitter account.

The DJ received an award for the remix of the composition Roses by the American rapper SAINt JHN. Zeykenov is a non-professional musician, student of a railway college in Kazakhstan. His remix has amassed millions of views on YouTube and entered the top five of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and topped the UK charts in May.

After Zeykenov’s success, he was signed by the Russian recording company Effective Records.
