The police and the Thai special services are tracking a group of Iranian agents who entered the country at different times. The police suggest that these agents are preparing terrorist attacks against the Israelis, reports “details” with reference to the newspaper Bangkok Post.
According to information, the secret order of the head of the Thai police was published after a series of mysterious murders in Iran, which attribute a number of media ascraft to Israel. In the Thailand security system, anxiety is growing about the fact that the Iranians will try to carry out acts of revenge, choosing as an object of Israeli tourists.
As the interlocutor of the newspaper reports, the head of the National Police of Thailand ordered one of the special departments of his department, as well as the Central Bureau of Investigations, the capital police and nine district police sections to be in a state of increased readiness and collecting data about Iranian agents. In addition to Iranian citizens who arrived in the country, special services are also developing several Thai Muslims suspected of espionage in favor of Iran.
Another reason for the surveillance of Iranian agents, as the publication writes, was the arrest on May 24, 2021 of the Iranian spy in Indonesia, which had a fake Bulgarian passport. With him there were a large number of mobile phones and several SIM cards, through which he kept in touch, in particular, with Thai Muslims. The investigation showed that he acted as an Iranian agent not only in Indonesia, but also in a number of neighboring countries.
