Doctors from Israel helped dozens of World War II veterans

On the initiative of the YAŞAT Foundation and with the organizational support of the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan and the National Ophthalmological Center named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, a delegation of doctors from Israel arrived in Azerbaijan for medical and humanitarian purposes, “Head of the Foundation Elvin Huseynov told reporters.

According to Huseynov, Israeli doctors have been in Azerbaijan for 5 days, continue to examine and treat World War II veterans: “During this time, Israeli doctors examined 132 war veterans. 22 of them were operated on, 28 installed eye prostheses, the rest will be operated on in the next days “.

Huseynov noted that a delegation of eight doctors arrived in Azerbaijan for one week.

The head of the fund also said that a group of doctors from Turkey came to Azerbaijan and examined 154 of our war veterans, and the results of the examination are being studied. To continue the examination and treatment, 24 of our war veterans were sent to Turkey.
