Dodon’s wife was banned to leave Moldova

The wife of the ex-president of Moldova Igor Dodon, Galina Dodon, said that she was recognized as the accused in the criminal case of corruption, and she is forbidden to leave the country, Interfax reports.

Galina Dodon was recognized by the prosecutors of the anti -corruption prosecutor’s office of the accused and accomplice in the so -called Cult case.

“I do not admit any guilt. This is a far -fetched thing to discredit my husband,” Galina Dodon said to reporters, abandoning other comments.

Lawyers reported that she gave a non -departure for 60 days.

The Moldavian press previously announced with reference to sources in the prosecutor’s office that Dodon would be charged in the case of money package. In the framework of the case, called the “Cooking”, an investigation is being conducted on the fact of the transfer in June 2019 by a fugitive Moldavian oligarch Vladimir Plahotnuk Pack Dodon, who at that time served as president. From the released video and conversation of two politicians it followed that the package had a large sum of money designed to finance the Party of Socialists Moldova, led by Dodon.

Three days ago, Dodon expressed indignation that his wife was handed the agenda to the prosecutor’s office right on the street. Chisinau court sent Dodon under house arrest for 30 days. Dodon was charged with four articles of the Criminal Code – passive corruption, obtaining financing by a political party from a criminal organization, illegal enrichment and state treason. Dodon and his party are considered a criminal case by political reprisal “by President Sandu and pressure on the opposition.
