Double taxation of income has been canceled between Azerbaijan and Turkey

Between Azerbaijan and Turkey, double taxation of income has been canceled. The relevant law is published on the website of the President of Azerbaijan.

Law “On the approval of an agreement between the Government of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic on the abolition of double taxation in relation to income taxes and prevention of tax evasion” approved Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.

Earlier, on February 19, in Ankara with the participation of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a ceremony of signing a number of Azerbaijani-Turkish documents was held.

“An agreement between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Turkish Republic on the avoidance of double taxation in relation to taxes on income and prevention of tax evasion” was signed by the Minister of Economics of Azerbaijan Mikail Dzhabbarov and the Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey Mehmet Shimshka.

In addition, Aliyev approved the “Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of the Turkish Republic in the field of veterinary medicine”, which was also recorded on February 19.
