In 20 Russian regions of Russia, more than 40 detachments with “volunteers” have been created since spring, who are promised to pay for participation in the war with Ukraine from 130 to 300 thousand rubles, Russian media write.
According to the report, “Volunteer Squades” in St. Petersburg (Kronstadt, Neva and Pavlovsk) were formed in August, which are equipped with “exclusively residents of St. Petersburg”. Information about the set of volunteers is published in the media and social networks of authorities, all of them are sent to the zones of “special operation”.
In Yakutia, a detachment of volunteers of Bourot was formed, the media also write about the Primorsky Tiger detachment, the Chuvash Atala, the Alga battalions and Timer in Tatarstan, the Parma company and the Hammers battalion in the Perm Territory in the Perm Territory , battalion named after Kuzma Minin in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Amursky motorized rifle battalion in the name of the region. In the Leningrad Region, the government announced a recruitment in the artillery divisions “Nevsky” and “Ladoga”, in Tyumen announced the formation of three units at once: “Tobol”, “Taiga” and “Siberia”. Bashkiria is preparing two motorized rifle battalions for sending to war. Kursk, Omsk, Irkutsk and Chelyabinsk regions, Krasnodar Territory also form the detachments of “volunteers” in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is responsible for procedural formalities in all regions: volunteers sign contracts for a period of several months with the possibility of extension and receive the official status of contractors, the media noted.
