Dunic Volcano In Indonesia Splashed Ashes To Height Of 1600 Meters

The Dunoconian volcano in the Indonesian province of North Maluku splashed ashes to a height of 1600 meters after eruption.

The observation post of volcanoes (PGA) said that the eruption occurred near dawn in local time, reports Antara News.

The statement reports that the volcano located at an altitude of 1087 meters above sea level, after the eruption, threw the ashes to a height of 1600 meters.

The authorities warned people living in the vicinity of the volcano about the need to wear masks.

The Dunoconian volcano is known as one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia.

In Indonesia, there are about 130 existing volcanoes in the Earthquakes and Volcanoes belt “Pacific Fire Ring”.
