In the capital of Tajikistan, a number of agreements aimed at developing trade and economic ties and attracting investments in the key sectors of the region took place. The documents were signed as part of the Central Asian International Economic Forum, held on July 21 on the basis of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) university in Dushanbe.
According to Avesta, the forum gathered representatives of business, power, science, culture and media from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The focus is in practical steps to strengthen interregional partnership.
The program included plenary meetings, round tables and thematic sessions. The prospects for the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, in particular the North -South corridor, as well as the introduction of digital solutions, scientific cooperation, innovation in energy, agriculture and industry.
, were discussed.
Participants presented projects to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental load. A separate forum block was devoted to the support of small and medium -sized businesses, the development of tourism and cultural interaction in the region.
The forum has become part of the international expedition “Journey in the Heart of Eurasia”, which takes place from June 6 to July 24 to the territory of five countries of the region. The organizers were the Russian-Tajik business council at the CCI of the Russian Federation, the Dushanbe administration and the International Center for Regional Integration with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
