€700 Million Dispute Has Arisen Between Kylian Mbappe And PSG

The amount of the lawsuit between the French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and its former captain Kylian Mbappe has reached 700 million euros.

The trial regarding the dispute between Mbappe, who moved to the Spanish club Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 without buying out his contract, and PSG over wages and contract began in the Paris Labor Office court.

The 26-year-old star footballer demanded compensation of more than 260 million euros from his former club on 10 different counts, including wrongful termination of the contract (44.6 million euros) and signing bonuses (40.4 million euros). PSG, which has remained silent until now, responded with a demand for its former captain to pay 440 million euros.

Mbappe’s lawyers, calling the demands of the Parisian team “unprecedented”, noted that the footballer trusts the justice of his country.

PSG accuses their former footballer of hiding his decision not to renew his contract for the period from July 2022 to June 2023. depriving the team of a lucrative transfer. The club argue that Mbappe must give up some of the money he is due at the end of his contract if he leaves without a buyout in the summer of 2023, as required by the agreement. Mbappe and his entourage reject the verbal agreement proposed by PSG.

The court’s decision is expected on December 16.
