Egypt evacuated more than 400 citizens from Sudan

Egypt evacuated 436 citizens from Sudan, where clashes between the army and the quick response forces (SBR) continue.

The press secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Egypt Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the evacuation was successful.

Another message of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry says that the diplomatic mission in Hartum and Port Sudan, as well as the consular office in the Half Valley, establish contacts with citizens of the country remaining in these parts of a neighboring country for the purpose of evacuation.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, there are over 10 thousand Egyptian citizens in Sudan.

Disagreements regarding the reform of military security, which provides for the complete integration of the SBR into the armed forces, resulted in a hot conflict between two power structures.

The Foreign Ministry of Sudan reported that the army commander Abdelfattah al-Burkhan decided to dissolve the SBR by announcing the rebels.

According to the World Health Organization, 413 people died as a result of clashes, another 3,551 were injured.

SBR earlier announced a humanitarian truce from the first days of the holiday in connection with the end of the Holy Muslims of the month of Ramazan.
