March 27, the international tournament “Hams” on “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” starts – the most popular game of virtual battles.
Due to the fact that 2021 declared in our country “Year of Nizami” in honor of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjevi, Gaming League Azerbaijan decided to call the Hams tournament.
Nizami Ganjevi with its five immortal poems (“Treasury of Tyne”, “Hosra and Shirin”, Leyly and Medezhnun, “Seven Beauty”, “Iskendernam”) made a new breath into world literature. Later, five poems of Nizami were combined under the name “Hamsa” (“five”), and this name became popular in the literature of the peoples of the Middle East. Many followers of the Nizami school dreamed of creating “Hams” just as an immortal poet created her.
As for the tournament, together with representatives of Azerbaijan in the competition, the cybersports of other countries will take part. Awards will also fight teams from Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, Northern Macedonia, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. In the competition, our country will be introduced to Karabakh Horses and GMT Esports teams.
