Eight NATO Member Countries Allocated $500 Million In Aid To Ukraine

Eight NATO countries have announced $500 million in assistance to Ukraine as part of the “Ukraine Priority Requirements List” (PURL), which includes the supply of US weapons and equipment to Ukraine.

NATO issued a written statement on the issue.

The statement said Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden under the NATO initiative PURL will provide support to Ukraine in the form of a joint package of military equipment and ammunition worth $500 million, which will be purchased from the United States.

The statement quoted NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte as saying: “Our Nordic and Baltic allies are taking an important step by committing to finance a new aid package for Ukraine, which includes critical military equipment.”

Rutte noted that this equipment is extremely important as Ukraine enters during the winter months, and added that supplies under PURL continue to arrive in Ukraine.

“NATO allies will continue to supply vital equipment and materials,” the NATO Secretary General emphasized.
