Emergency mode due to forest fires was introduced throughout Yakutia

The emergency regime was introduced throughout the territory of Yakutia due to forest fires, more than 61 thousand hectares of forest are burning in the region, the press service of the government of the republic as part of the Russian Federation.

“Anomalous hot weather and thunderclouds became the reason for the increase in forest fires in Yakutia. In this regard, the emergency mode has been declared throughout the region,” the text of which is quoted by Interfax.

The corresponding decree was signed on Monday by the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev.

The emergency mode will allow you to attract the means and forces of the federal center to extinguish fires in the region.

“The last week is characterized by abnormally high temperatures at most of the republic. In Yakutia today the highest temperatures in the whole country, far beyond the plus of 30 degrees. Dry thunderstorms have led to the fact that in recent days the number of fires by 20-30 is growing, Although 10-20 is stewed every day. Now we must take enhanced measures in order to prevent further deterioration in the situation, ”the press service of Nikolaev quotes.

In total, 110 forest fires were recorded on the territory on an area of ​​61.16 thousand hectares and two landscape fires on an area of ​​3.2 thousand hectares. Most fires occurred in hard -to -reach and remote territories.
