The wife of the President of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, called for respect for nature and active participation in the Green Homeland campaign. The First Lady stated this on the social network of the Turkish platform NSosyal on the occasion of National Greening Day, celebrated on November 11.
Emine Erdogan emphasized that the Green Homeland campaign is aimed at restoring the country’s forest areas.
According to the First Lady, the efforts made throughout the country, demonstrate the scale of public support for the environmental initiative. She noted that in 81 provinces, thousands of people took part in planting trees, which, in her words, became “a sign of the strong will on which the Green Homeland campaign is based.”
Erdogan also thanked citizens of all ages for participating in the action and expressed confidence that every tree planted will contribute to the future of the country and children.
