Emine Erdogan Met With Delegation Of World Health Organization

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s wife, Emine Erdogan, met with World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge and WHO Representative in Turkey Tasnim Atatrah.

Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu was also present at the meeting, which took place at the Presidential Residence in Ankara.

During the meeting, which noted Turkey’s leadership in the field of alternative medicine in the European region in terms of accumulated knowledge and experience, Kluge thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Emine Erdoğan for Turkey’s leading role in the Gaza issue.

Appreciating Turkey’s leadership in promoting traditional, complementary and integrative medicine as part of cultural heritage and health innovation, Kluge expressed his wish for joint work in the field of improving the health of children and adolescents.

Congratulating Turkey on With the success of the decision to host COP31 in this country, Kluge proposed integrating health and sustainable development issues into the global climate debate.

Emine Erdogan, in her post on the social network NSosyal about the meeting with the WHO delegation, noted: “I was pleased to meet with the WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Henri Kluge, and the WHO Representative in Turkey, Tasnim Atatrah. We had a productive meeting on the global health agenda.”
