Emine Erdogan: Modern Problems Require An Inclusive Approach

The problems in the modern world are so complex and interconnected that their solution is possible only on the basis of multifaceted and inclusive approaches.

This is stated in the address of the wife of the President of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, to the participants of the 6th Burundi High-Level Women Leaders Forum. The event was held in Bujumbura under the auspices of the First Lady of Burundi, Angelina Ndayishimiye.

“For example, to ensure children’s right to education, building schools is no longer enough. To do this, it is also necessary to eliminate environmental problems, put an end to conflicts and economic inequality,” explained Emine Erdogan.

According to her, the task of raising a healthy generation is also not limited to just eradicating hunger. “This also requires ensuring environmentally friendly agriculture and transforming modern food preferences,” she said.

“I believe that the first step towards this kind of large-scale transformation and raising healthy generations in all senses is to establish strong cooperation, within which the efforts of family, school and society will be combined,” summed up the First Lady of Turkey.

In a publication on her account on the social network of the Turkish platform Nsosyal, she expressed confidence that the Forum will contribute to efforts to ensure a healthy future for children.

Emine Erdogan thanked Angelina Ndayishimiye Ndayubah for her “initiative to address such an important issue.”
