Emomali Rahmon: Tajikistan Strives To Become Reliable Partner For Green Investments

Tajkistan’s strategic goal is to transform the country into a reliable partner for long-term investment, especially in the field of green economy. This was stated by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the International Investment Forum “Dushanbe Invest – 2025”.

The text of the statement was published by the press service of the President’s office on Monday, October 14.

The head of state emphasized that the event is dedicated to “green investments that create today’s opportunities for sustainable future.”

Rahmon noted that the forum serves as a platform for building trust between countries and attracting investment in key sectors, including renewable energy, clean technologies and sustainable production.

The President emphasized that Tajikistan has significant hydropower potential, rich natural resources and highly qualified human capital, and also carries out large-scale reforms to improve the business climate and stimulate the private sector.

“Today we provide investors with more than 240 guarantees and benefits, of which over 110 are tax and customs,” Rahmon said, adding that five free economic zones are successfully operating in the country.

Leader of the country expressed confidence that the Dushanbe Invest – 2025 forum will become the starting point for new mutually beneficial initiatives and deepening international partnerships.

During the forum, Emomali Rahmon held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of foreign delegations.

The head of state discussed with the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al-Falih discussed the prospects for developing economic cooperation and strengthening ties between Tajikistan and the Kingdom.

The parties positively assessed the activities of the Saudi Development Fund, which is implementing socially significant and infrastructure projects in Tajikistan.

In addition, Emomali Rahmon met with the Minister of Economy and Property of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ali Madanizoda.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Iranian cooperation, noting the effectiveness of the agreements reached at the highest level.
