The territory of Romania will be left by 40 employees of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest and members of their families at the request of the Romanian authorities, the press service of the Romania Foreign Ministry said.
“Foreign Ministry informs that 40 employees of the Russian diplomatic mission in Bucharest, together with family members, will leave the territory of Romania on board a civilian aircraft owned by the Russian airline,” the Romanian department said.
It is explained that the decision of the Romania authorities to reduce the personnel of the Russian diplomatic mission is a reflection of the current level of bilateral relations against the background of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.
The Russian aircraft gave permission to arrive for employees of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
