In Baku, the prosecution authorities arrested five employees of the New Life rehabilitation center, operating as a center for the treatment of drug addiction, alcoholism and other types of dependence.
According to APA, the head of the Center for Obrzhali Heydarov, employees of the Center Elvusal Huseynov, the name Rzaev, Sarhan Aliyev and Ganbar Gasanov are accused of torturing patients and illegal deprivation of their freedom. It is claimed that as a result of torture, he died on treatment in the center of Huseyn Mamedov.
Huseyn Mammadov’s parent and three more people who remained there – Fuad Hasanov, Kamran Aliyev and Jahangir Aliyev are recognized as victims in the case.
According to the results of the investigation conducted by the prosecutor’s office, five persons were charged under Articles 133 (torture), 145.3 (illegal imprisonment) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Elvusal Huseynov, Orujali Heydarov and the name of Rzaeva also charged under article 192 (illegal entrepreneurship) of the Criminal Code. According to the prosecution, through illegal entrepreneurship, they earned 81 thousand manat. The case is investigated in the Baku court on serious crimes. None of the accused admits his guilt and does not agree with what is indicated in the materials of the criminal case.
