Energy importance imports to Turkey decreased by 46.4%

Energy importance in Turkey in monetary terms decreased in June of this year by 46.4 percent compared to the same month of last year – up to 4 billion 329 million 191 thousand dollars.

This is evidenced by the statistics published by the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k) and the Ministry of Trade.

The total import of Turkey in June of this year decreased by annual calculus by 17.5 percent, amounting to $ 26 billion 64 million.

Of these, 4 billion 329 million 191 thousand dollars falls on the import of energy, which includes mineral fuel, mineral oils and their distillation products, bituminous substances, mineral wax.

In July last year, energy imports to Turkey amounted to 8 billion 82 million 91 thousand dollars. Thus, energy imports decreased by 46.4 percent compared to last year.

At the same time, the import of raw oil in June decreased by 5.4 percent to 2 million 996 thousand 745 tons.
