England Police confused bitcoins farm with drug abuse

The English police found a farm for mining cryptocurrency during a raid in search of drugs. In an industrial building there was equipment for the extraction of bitcoins, which stole electricity from national networks, writes The Guardian.

The police conducted an inspection on the signal from the locals about the cultivation of hemp in an industrial building in the County of West Midlands in the West of England.

Absuspiciously launched a drone with a thermal imager, which found a high temperature source. When searching the room, it turned out that 100 special computers were worked there for mining cryptocurrencies, and the heat from them was outlined through ventilation. “The find turned out to be definitely not what we expected,” the police sergeant Jennifer Griffin commented on the situation.
