Erdogan and head of European Council discussed membership of Turkey in EU

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the chairman of the European Council Charles Michel.

The head of the Turkish state is in the capital of India to participate in the 18th Summit of the G20 leaders.

The parties discussed the state of relations between Ankara and Brussels, as well as issues of regional and international agendas.

The exchange of views regarding the steps that must be taken for a full membership of Turkey in the European Union.

From the Turkish side, the Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Ibrahim Kalyn, the Head of the Administration of the Presidential Administration Fakhretin Altun and the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Shimshki.
