Erdogan: Ankara seeks to bring end of war in Ukraine closer

there will be no winners in the war [in Ukraine], as well as losers in the event of a conclusion of peace. We advocate the restoration of peace in the region. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, commenting on the results of a two-day summit of the heads of state and governments of NATO countries in Vilnius.

According to him, Ankara seeks to bring the end of the war in Ukraine.

“The negative consequences, from the already 504th day of bloodshed between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, it feels the whole world. This also manifests itself in the food market and through the record level of inflation,” said the President of Turkey.

Erdogan emphasized that Turkey uses all the dialogue tools with the Russian Federation and Ukraine to extend the action of the “grain transaction”.

The Turkish leader said that the topic of grain transaction was discussed during the recent visit of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to Turkey.

Erdogan further attracted attention to the situation in neighboring Syria, where a bloody conflict has been going on since 2011.

“The connections established by some of the Turkish allies on NATO with the [terrorists] Pyd/YPG (Syrian wing of the RKK – approx.” Anadol “), strike the unity and integrity of the Alliance. There is no intelligible explanation for this!”, – said Turkish leader.
