Erdogan announced a project to return a million Syrians to Syria

Turkey is preparing a project that will allow one million Syrian refugees in the country to voluntarily return to their homeland. The project will be implemented with the support of Turkish and international NGOs. About this, according to Anadolu, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed the participants in the commissioning of houses built by the efforts of 12 Turkish NGOs for displaced persons in Syrian Idlib.

Erdogan noted that the houses were built in 250 separate areas and will facilitate the conditions of the Syrian existence, who have been living in tent camps in the security zones in the north of Syria for years. According to him, in total, it was planned to build 77 thousand houses as part of the campaign, the construction of 57,306 of them has already been completed.

The Turkish leader noted that up to 50 thousand families have already been populated into the houses that have already been commissioned. Erdogan assured that the number of such houses in the future will be 100 thousand, which will allow 100 thousand Syrian families to populate accordingly.

“No one will leave their homeland for no reason. No one will just go to an unknown future. To open their borders to such people, to provide them all kinds of help, our duty,” the head of state noted.

Erdogan also recalled that Turkey continuously provides assistance to those in need of wide geography: from Afghanistan to Pakistan, from Bangladesh to Palestine, from Yemen to Ukraine.
