Erdogan: Heroes of July 15 will never be forgotten, no matter how many years have passed since those days

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan performed in the program “Heroes of the Central of Turkey”, organized by the Communications Office of the President and the municipality of the Istanbul region of the Ukudar.

“Heroes of July 15 will never be forgotten, no matter how many years have passed since those days. We will not allow any insidious scripts to violate our unity and solidarity,” the president said.

At an event dedicated to the seventh anniversary of the prevention of attempts at the 2016 coup in Turkey, President Erdogan said:

He recalled that millions of people, risking their lives, took to the streets and defended democracy.

“Many sacrificed to stop arbitrariness and protect our values. This is a manifestation of the victory of good over evil, justice over Besmenia. No one has the right to downplay the significance of the struggle that the Turkish people then, this is the glorious page of our modern history,” emphasized Erdogan.
