President of Turkey Regep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the ceremony in Ankara dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, said that the country wants to become one of the leaders in world politics and economics.
“In the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our republic, we must raise Turkey to a level worthy of the heritage of our ancestors. For this, we strive to build Turkey, which will qualify for the advanced position in the world with their political and economic power,” said the Turkish leader .
He also noted that Mustafa Kemal Ataturk fought all his life in Syria, Libya, Europe and the Caucasus.
“critics ask us:” What are you doing in Azerbaijan? What are you doing in Syria and Libya? They believe that we have come down from the path of Ataturk. This is not true! Mustafa Kemal actively fought there, where it required the struggle of the Turkish people for independence and a wonderful future, “said Erdogan.
He also noted that Ataturk’s testament is a road map for the current Turkey.
