Erdogan signed presidential decree on accession of Sweden to NATO

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved the decision of VST regarding the accession of Sweden to NATO.

The statement published on social networks by the Delivery of the President of Turkey says:

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved the decision to join Sweden to the North Atlantic Treaty, adopted by the Great National Assembly of Turkey. Erdogan signed a presidential decree on the accession of Sweden to NATO and approved the relevant protocol. “

The Law on the approval of the ratification of the protocol on the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden to the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) is published in the re -issue of the “Official Herald”.

Thus, the “Protocol on the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden to the North Atlantic Treaty”, signed in Brussels on July 5, 2022, was ratified.

The law entered into force after the publication in the re -issue of the “Official Herald”.
