Erdogan: Terrorists will not be able to violate stability in Turkey

Ankara (AA) – terrorists trying to destroy peace and security in Turkey, will never achieve their goals. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, commenting on the morning attack in Ankara.

The head of state spoke at the opening of the autumn session of the great national assembly (parliament) of Turkey.

The Turkish leader called the incident “one of the last convulsions of the terrorists.”

He emphasized that the “revival” of Fetö and her similar terrorist organizations in Turkey is impossible.

Two terrorists staged an explosion at the gates of the Main Security Directorate of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ankara. This was announced in social networks by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Ali Yerlika. In his words, the incident took place on October 1 at about 09.30 local time. One of the terrorists undermined himself, the other terrorist was neutralized. Two police officers received mild injuries, the head of the department said. Ankara prosecutor’s office began an investigation of what happened.

In his speech, the president also touched on the topic of relations between Turkey and the European Union. The head of the Turkish state called on Brussels to abandon an unconstructive position in relation to Ankara.

“If the EU abandons an unfair position, primarily in a visa issue, will correct errors. If not, he will lose the right to expect anything from us,” Erdogan said.
