Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the target of the Pençe Kilit anti-terrorist operation in the north of Iraq, reported Turkish media.
Erdogan said that the anti-terrorist operation is aimed at cleaning Iraqi lands from terrorists and providing border security of Turkey.
The Turkish leader stressed that his country does not pretend to be: “Turkey’s operation against the working part of Kurdistan in Iraq does not put the goal of obtaining new territories.”
He wished success to the Armed Forces of Turkey.
