Speaking to the participants of the conference of employees of diplomatic services and ambassadors, President Erdogan noted the special role of Turkey in the modern world.

“Turkey in our times has turned into a country whose participation has become a need for many critical issues. Our goal is through dialogue and diplomacy to create a zone of peace, stability and prosperity around our country,” the president said.

Paying attention to the issue of refugees and ways to solve this problem, the head of state noted:

“As the situation stabilizes in Iraq and Syria, a voluntary, safe and worthy return of refugees to these countries will occur.”

Touching the problem of extending the grain transaction, which was suspended on July 17, Erdogan said that Turkey continues its efforts in this direction:

“We continue efforts to resume grain initiative on a wider scale.”

Erdogan repeated the position of Turkey to end the war in Ukraine:

“Turkey with its balanced and fair attitude from the first day took on the role of a key country in solving the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Our initiatives on these issues continue”.

The president paid special attention to growing shares of desecration of the Holy Koran in Europe and provocations against the Islamic world.

“Turkey remains a banner of the struggle against Islamophobia, as it was for centuries. Our main obligation to prevent attacks on the Qur’an and ensure that the guilty in crimes on the basis of hatred suffer a well -deserved punishment,” President Erdogan emphasized.
