The purpose of Turkey is to increase the daily oil production at a deposit in the area of the Gabar Mountain in the southeast of the country up to 100 thousand barrels by the end of 2024. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a rally held at the monument to the miner in the province of Songoldak.
According to the Turkish leader, the daily oil production at the field in the area of Mount Gabar today exceeded 35 thousand barrels.
“Our most important goal is to achieve complete energy independence. We are in the most decisively implement the initiatives that guarantee the energy security of Turkey,” Erdogan emphasized.
