Erdogan will chair meeting of ORC Committee

On November 24-25, the 37th ministerial meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (Comcec) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OR) will be held in Istanbul, Anadolu reports.

Ministerial meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The meeting will exchange views on the role of Islamic banking in support of small and medium-sized businesses (KOBS) in the fight against a coronavirus infection of a new type (COVID-19).

The meeting will discuss the results of Comcec efforts to develop cooperation in the areas of trade, transport and communications, agriculture, tourism, reducing poverty and financial cooperation between the Committee member countries.

In addition, the meeting will present the projects of the Istanbul Arbitration Center ORC and Islamic Indian Fund.

Comcec combines 57 member countries, another 5 countries have the status of the observer in the Committee. It is the main policy decision on the level of ministers, is collected annually since 1984 and implements many important projects and programs in order to develop trade and economic cooperation between member countries.

The organization is aimed at finding solving problems of the development of Islamic countries.
