In 2024, the expenses in the budget of Estonia for defense will first exceed 3% of the country’s GDP.
This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defense of Estonia on the social network x.
It is noted that more than half of these funds will be aimed at strengthening defense potential.
The department noted that this step will bring the country’s defense readiness to a new level, providing Estonia Protection with our NATO allies. “
In December, the Estonian Parliament approved the law on the state budget for 2024, in which defense expenses will first exceed three percent of GDP.
