Estonian ambassador to Russia recalled

President Alar Caris recalled from the post of Estonia Ambassador to Russia Margus Lidre, the portal of the Estonian GOSTEREDIDODIO ERR.

The relevant decree was signed by the head of state on February 6.

Estonia’s heads of diplomatic departments officially appoints and recalls the president of the country.

At the end of January, the Russian Foreign Ministry published a statement that Russia as a response to a significant reduction in the number of its embassy in Tallinn, as well as against the backdrop of the destruction of the entire complex of relations with Moscow, lowers the diplomatic level with Estonia. The ambassador of this country was ordered to leave the territory of the Russian Federation on February 7. Estonia does not intend to close his embassy in Moscow.

According to media reports, referring to unnamed sources, Estonian ambassador to Russia Liddra left its residence early in the morning on Tuesday.
