EU about new proposals for supply of weapons to Kyiv

The head of the EU foreign policy, Josep Borrel will present new proposals for the supply of weapons to Ukraine through the European Fund of the World on February 20 at a meeting of the EU Foreign Ministry in Brussels.

Borrell announced this in Brussels upon arrival at the meeting of NATO defense ministers.

He emphasized that the EU “cannot pay for the supply of lethal weapons from his budget” – only from the Foundation of the World.

“I will submit new proposals for deliveries from the European Foundation on Monday at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs, – Borrel said.“ We cannot pay for the supply of lethal weapons from the EU budget, it is clear, but the European Fund of the World, this is an extra -budgetary intergovernmental fund and we can use it, as we consider it necessary. “

To date, the European Union allocated 3.6 billion euros through the European Fund for the World for Military deliveries to Kyiv, and this is not counting those supplies that the EU countries carry out directly on a bilateral basis.
