A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan by Jayhun Bayramov and the Commissioner of the European Union in the neighborhood and expansion of Oliver Warheli.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the EU are developing on the basis of an equal partnership. Recalling the successful holding of the VIII meeting of the Consultative Council of the Southern Gas Corridor with the participation of the EU Commissioners, Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of strategic partnership with the EU in the energy sector.
Commissioner Oliver Warheli noted that partnerships with Azerbaijan are of great importance for the EU and it is important to strengthen these relationships even more. He stressed that Azerbaijan is a reliable EU partner. The Commissioner noted that within the framework of the economic investment plan, Azerbaijan has allocated a financial package of 2 billion euros, within which the implementation of specific projects is considered. O. Karheli also expressed the EU’s readiness to participate in the recovery and reconstruction process carried out in Azerbaijan.
