European Commissioner: VIE – Future of Energy of Turkey

renewable energy sources (VIE) is the future of Turkey. This was reported in an interview with Anadolu by the member of the European Commission, Kadri Simson, commenting on the significance of renewable reinforced concrete for the country’s energy security.

Simson noted that renewable energy sources, in particular, such as wind and sun, play an important role in ensuring the energy independence of Europe in the long term.

According to her, a number of European countries are considering the construction of sea (offshore) wind farms. Europe is a world leader in the field of technology related to sea windows, Simson noted. At the same time, a member of the European Commission cited the example of Denmark.

“The sea wind station in this region was created more than 30 years ago. renewable energy sources are effectively used here, and mainly the wind. The share of renewable energy, in particular the wind energy, is much exceeding other sources. This makes this resource accessible, in including the value of energy carriers. The fact that such energy is not important is of particular importance on fossil fuel. We would like to use Denmark’s experience. Wind projects are gaining momentum in Europe, ”said the European Commissioner.

.

Speaking of Turkey, a member of the European Commission, reported that renewable energy means “future” for the republic. “The wind and the sun are considered democratic sources of energy. Sustainable energy sources make Turkey more independent in the field of energy, help in terms of protection against environmental pollution,” Simson said.

Offshore wind energy continues to develop rapidly in Europe. According to the forecast, the installed capacity of marine (offshore) wind energy can reach 130 GW by 2030 and 300 GW – by 2050. If this is achieved, then 300 million households in Europe will be provided with electricity from the North Sea.
