European Parliament proposed imposing sanctions against Ivanishvili

The European Parliament this week will consider the draft resolution with a proposal to impose individual sanctions against the ex-Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili and some Georgian judges, reports News-Georgia.

According to information, the resolution was proposed by the largest faction of the European Parliament – the conservative European People’s Party (UNP). It concerns violation of the freedom of the media and the safety of journalists in Georgia.
