European Parliament was called upon to recognize PMC “Wagner” with terrorists

Deputies of the European Parliament called on the European Union to introduce PMC “Wagner” to the list of terrorist organizations. They sent a letter with the relevant proposal to the chairman of the EU Council Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Peter Fiala, whose country presides in the EU Council, writes Politico.

, as the basis for the calculation of the mercenary organization to terrorists, the deputies called “continuing violations” Wagner “of international law in Ukraine”, as well as “previous exploits in other conflicts.” In particular, the mercenaries of the group took part in military conflicts in Syria, Sudan, Mozambique and the Central African Republic.

The initiative received wide support of the deputies of the European Parliament – from ultra -right to left and green. Prior to this, the EU accused of Wagner PMC of torture, extrajudicial executions and murders in all parts of the world where the group took part in military operations.

In September of this year, Russian entrepreneur Evgeny Prigozhin admitted that he created the Wagner PMC. According to him, he thought about it in 2014 after for some time “salted with money to gain a group that will go and protect the Russians” in the Donbass.
