European Union agreed on fourth package of sanctions against Russia

The European Union agreed on the fourth package of sanctions against Russia, transfers Gazeta.ru with reference to the French mission chairing the EU Council.

It is noted that sanctions are directed against individuals and organizations involved in military actions in Ukraine, as well as a number of sectors of the Russian economy.

The statement also states that the EU appealed to the World Trade Organization with a request to suspend the consideration of the candidacy of Belarus to join, as well as suspension for Russia the regime of the greatest favored.

Earlier it was reported that the EU is going to introduce new sanctions against Rosneft, Transneft and Gazprom Neft. According to preliminary data, companies face a ban on investment, which will freeze the EU financing projects for the extraction of all types of fossil fuels.
