European Union discusses next sanctions against Russia

The European Commission will begin consultations with representatives of the EU countries regarding the upcoming package of sanctions within a few days, writes Politico.

The publication claims that diplomats are expected to discuss a plan for limiting Russian oil prices, which is now being discussed in G7.

Currently, the United States is pressure on the European Union to achieve progress in restricting oil prices before the prohibition of imports of Russian oil in December.

According to EU diplomats, consultations will begin within a few days. Among the potential restrictions that can be considered, they call additional lists of individuals, a ban on the import of Russian diamonds and other luxury items.
