European Union invited Asian countries to oppose Russia

The European Union invited 10 countries of the Asia-Pacific region to enter the Alliance against Russia and condemn the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Euobserver with reference to the project of the Communist, which is prepared for the meeting.

We are talking about ASEAN countries (Association of Southeast Asia states – ed.), which will hold the first joint summit with the European Union on December 14 in Brussels.

“We decisively condemn the aggressive war of Russia against Ukraine, which violates international law, and urge Russia to immediately and unconditionally stop its military invasion and withdraw all forces and military equipment from all over Ukraine,” the draft document says.

The document also emphasizes that the EU and ASEAN countries “never recognize the illegal annexation of Russia Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions of Ukraine, as well as the continued illegal annexation of Crimea.” Moscow will be condemned for actions that “undermine global food security”.

The Association of Southeast Asia includes 10 countries: Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
